Everyone wants to be happy, but what does happiness look like according to Jesus?

As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to live radically different from what people would expect. It is in the Beatitudes, a sequence of blessings declared by Jesus, where we can embrace the promise of God's counterintuitive kingdom. The Beatitudes are attributes that are evident in the life of true Christ-followers, not characteristics to develop to make us followers of Jesus Christ.
